As discussed previously, we are hoping to build a community of people who want to get outside to run, bike and swim. We did find two new suckers to join us. Last week, two great friends of mine, Dusty Miller and Donald Lindsley joined me on a 2.4 mile run and just yesterday, Dusty and I ran 4.5 miles together. It is great to have such wonderful and active friends.
I also would like to give a special thank you to Dusty Miller. Almost a year ago, Dusty entered me in my first triathalon event, Race on the Base in Los Alamitos, a sprint triathalon. Donald, Dusty and I all ran that event together and what an experience. We had friends and family come to watch our race and it was one of the funnest things that I have done. So, Dusty, thank you for being such a great friend and forcing me to run, bike and swim.
Unfortunately, Donald’s run may be his first and last with The Running Brothers. He has headed to New Mexico to finish his degree. We here at The Running Brothers wish him all the luck in the world.
