Time is running out and we are about to run our first marathon.  I have tried training the last three days, but have had to stop early each time because I get this pain in my knee.  Yesterday was my longest run so far.  I ran 4.5 miles, but had to stop on account of the knee.  My brother and I have decided to go to A Snails Pace, a running store in Brea to see if they can get us properly fitted for some shoes. 

I’m excited to see if a difference can be made just by the types of shoes I would be wearing.  I really hope that it does, because I want to be able to complete this marathon.

    Stick to the plan!
    New shoes will kill you, guys. I saw some amazing feet in the massage tent after Paris. Believe me its not worth it.
    Get some good socks. i.e. ones that are think enough so that your feet do not slip.
    Re your knee. Have a never sent you Omega3?
    Let me know if you would like some and I can get it delivered – should arrive in a couple pf days. Dose up on 4 capsules a day.
    PLUS CYCLE! – get the upper thighs to take some of the strength. Add some exercises for your hamstrings as well – that machine in the gym where you almost lie on your back with your legs in the air like a dead ant – that’s the one to use. Load the weights equal to your body weight and s l o w l y pump.

    • I rode 60 miles today . . . and my feet are already messed up as they are. My knees are what I’m worried about. I have some Omega-3 here but never used it. I guess I should start. Thanks for the tip.
