Many of you may not know this, but I was working for a photographer running film back and forth from the rafters at the Anaheim Ducks games during the playoffs.  The work was not difficult, I simply had to go into the rafters of the Honda Center in between periods and change out the sim cards for the camera’s that were positioned at the top of the building.  Prior to the game, I was asked by the photographer of the Ducks to assist in the photographing of David Archuleta who was singing the National Anthem that night.  I was introduced by the photographer and shook his hand a couple of times.

He seemed like a really nice guy and was smiling constantly displaying his upbeat attitude.  I posted on my Facebook page that I was “hanging out” with David Archuleta and got a plethora of responses and jokingly, I said that he wanted to audition in the next Running Brothers Movie.  I got a good laugh out of that comment and decided to post it to my Twitter page.  The next thing I knew I was getting David Archuleta fans telling me how happy they were that he was going to be in our movie and watching our movie and making comments about it.  Although I had no idea that my Twitter post would lead to that reaction it was kind of cool.  We even had several of his fan sites pick up the story and run with it, saying things like, “David Archuleta to be in the next Running Brothers Movie.”  It was very cool, but I do want to clarify that I didn’t mean to be deceptive, I just thought it was a funny joke for my followers.

Anyways, it was a lot of fun getting people to check out our movie and very interesting to see how die-hard David Archuleta fans are.  One thing I can say for certain is that David Archuleta is a super cool dude and if he were interested in being in the next Running Brothers Movie we would love to have him.

This was the picture that I helped to take of David Archuleta at the Anaheim Ducks game.

  1. Love that pic with the duck! I’m trying to get back into running- sooo hard. I used to LOVE it, then had hip problems and got out of shape. It’s a struggle to start over and get back in that positive mindset. Anyway, glad you had fun with David- he’s a sweetheart.

    • Yeah, any problems in the legs cause quite the problem. I develeoped a small problem in my knee that makes it tough to run. But you should get back into it, exercising is always a good thing.

Gandhi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it’s very important that you do it because nobody else will. 😀
We are doing this not to receive any recognition or fame, we are just doing it just because this kids deserve to wake up from the horrible nightmare they are living in.

Children are the future, and we want that future to shine so… we have to act NOW!

  4. Hey! That’s one of my fav pics from that night! Any chance I could get permission to use it in a charity project? Please email me if are willing to help me out! THANKS! And thanks for your humor and kindness toward David. 🙂

  5. See how rumors get started on the internet? LOL Anyway, make it happen!

  6. David Archuleta has a lot of devoted fans…and we are always hoping for great opportunities for him to get more noticed because I/we think he is so amazingly talented. I’ve gotten to meet David when he was on tour a couple times…and was excited to be able to tell him how much I love his music. He is truly such a nice person. Thanks for sharing your story about taking pictures and meeting David…and for clarifying your statement — we just love David so much … and got excited at the thought David might be in a movie. And you never know, David has produced 3 albums and wrote an inspiring book…and as has had 2 guest appearances on a TV show…so you never know 🙂

    • You’re welcome for writing the story and no worries about being excited to see that David was going to be in a movie. Heck, we’d love to have him in one of ours, but if you’ve seen our moive then you’d probably know that it’s not likely that’d be something he’s into. But, you never know. Either way this has been a fun experience.

  7. haha! Maybe consider a parody? I still have the image of David running from a group of volleyball players at the airport that must be used somewhere! Btw, it actually happened, he tweeted about it after he landed in LA from a SLC flight a few months back. I think they caught up with him and he ended up taking pics with them. *must research*

    • It’s possible, we may be able to do a parody . . . but perhaps it would be even better if we used something else, but you gave me a great idea. I can’t tell you what it is just yet, but it’ll be a big surprise . . . and I will let you know when we go live with it.
